THE AUTHOR

Dr. Gurpreet Singh Padda, MD, MBA, MHP
Author of The Brain series. Interventional pain physician and anesthesiologist, board certified in addiction medicine and obesity medicine, practicing in St. Louis.
What he got wrong first
For twenty years he told patients with prediabetes that their A1C was not too bad. The guidelines backed him, his training backed him, and he was wrong. For years he was also a strict vegetarian defending those same guidelines. That ended with a bite of beef on bun at Gates Bar-B-Q in Kansas City.
He changed his mind because the physiology told him to, and he says so in front of the colleagues he once agreed with. The Humbled Brain is the fifth and final book in The Brain series: on limitation, and the admission that we are not in charge. It is being written now, and it will not be rushed.
